John’s journey into accounting started in a very different place - the kitchen. Originally trained as a chef, he spent years working in the fast-paced hospitality industry, where he developed strong attention to detail, discipline, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Over time, his interest in numbers, problem-solving, and helping businesses understand their finances led him to make the move into accounting.

John holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from Victoria University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA). He brings experience from public practice and financial accounting roles across a range of industries, giving him a broad understanding of the challenges businesses face and the importance of accurate, timely financial information.

Combining his analytical mindset with his practical background, John takes a thoughtful and solutions-focused approach to accounting. He enjoys helping clients make sense of their numbers, improve their processes, and feel more confident in their financial decisions.

Outside of work, John enjoys fishing, following sport, and spending time with his family.
