Nik Hakim

BAS Accountant - BCom

Originally from Malaysia, Nik has called Wellington home for the past four and a half years. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Victoria University and has hands-on experience supporting small to medium sized businesses with financial reporting, GST, tax compliance and management reporting.

Nik works closely with business clients to deliver accurate financial information and support them across reporting, compliance and tax requirements. He takes a practical, easy to work with approach, combining technical focus with clear communication and a steady, supportive working style.

He has a strong interest in property related accounting and is also building experience in the hotel sector, enjoying the opportunity to understand how different industries operate financially. Nik is currently progressing through his Chartered Accountancy studies and is focused on continuing to grow both technically and in advisory capability.

Outside of work, he likes to stay active at the gym, plays basketball regularly and heads outdoors for hikes when he can. A committed Manchester United fan, he’s always keen to try new eateries, spend time with friends and is always first in line when the Friday afternoon office snacks come out!
